Good habits formed at youth make all the difference ~ Aristotle

SOAR understands the importance of education but more importantly, the importance of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in higher education. SOAR provides various opportunities for the youth of the Coastal Bend and their family to take part in stimluating interest in STEM through Science Saturdays, workshops and seminars, and a mentorship program at a local middle school.

SOAR Saturdays:

Monthly events through collaborations with STEM organizations and community partnerships that provide STEM education and hands-on experience with the hopes of stimulating interest in STEM education and careers. SOAR currently works with Big Brother Big Sister, Workforce Solutions, YWCA, Area Agency on Aging, and CCISD.  If you would like to be included in a SOAR Saturday, please contact Deshawna McCray at 361-825-2289or via email at deshawna.mccray@tamucc.edu
